Material

14K & 18K

(1) Purity: 14K gold has a gold content of no less than 58.5%, with 41.5% of other metals added. It is usually marked as G14K or G585. On the other hand, 18K gold has a gold content of no less than 75%, with 25% of other metals added. It is usually marked as G18K or G750. (2) Hardness: Due to the difference in gold content, 14K and 18K gold have different properties. The higher the purity of gold, the lower the hardness, the softer the texture, and the better the ductility. Therefore, 14K gold is harder than 18K gold. (3) Price: Since 18K gold has a higher purity, while 14K gold has a lower gold content, 14K gold is generally cheaper in price.
